Early Childhood Cultural Studies Workshop ~ Chattanooga, TN ~ April 27, 2019
The East Lake Montessori School in Chattanooga is hosting a 4-hour workshop for Early Childhood teachers on cultural studies, "Hands on the Continents: Cultural Studies with Music, Movement & Storytelling" on Saturday April 27, 2019, from 9:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. at East Lake Montessori (2903 E 37th St, Chattanooga, TN 37407). The workshop will be led by Teresa Noble, Program Director & Instructor at the Institute for Guided Studies in Camden, SC. In a time when the need for cultural sensitivity and peaceful relations is at an all-time high, our efforts to forward Maria Montessori’s commitment to peace education is crucial. She believed that the more we understand each other, the better we are able to live peacefully and it begins with children. Join us as we take a trip around the world, and learn about other places and cultures through song, storytelling, and active, hands-on activities.The fee for the workshop is $35/participant. Registration is limited to the first 15 participants. Payment is due to East Lake Montessori upon registration.
